Welcome: Charleston Real Estate, New Construction & Relocation
If you’re thinking about buying a home in Charleston, relocating to the area, or exploring new construction in Summerville, welcome.
I’m Laurin Legare, a South Carolina real estate agent specializing in Charleston-area relocation, new construction homes, and master-planned communities like Nexton, Summers Corner and Carnes Crossroads.
My approach to real estate is simple: less pressure, more strategy.
Buying a home is a major financial and lifestyle decision, and I believe you should understand exactly what you’re buying, why it makes sense, and what questions to ask before signing anything.
That’s especially important with new construction.
Builder incentives, preferred lenders, upgrade packages, lot premiums and beautifully staged model homes can make the process feel straightforward. But the builder’s sales team represents the builder. My job is to help you evaluate the purchase from your side of the table.
I help buyers compare builders and communities, understand incentives, navigate the construction process, and make decisions based on more than what simply looks good in the model home.
For buyers relocating to Charleston, I also help make sense of the geography. Charleston, Summerville, Mount Pleasant, West Ashley and the surrounding communities offer very different lifestyles, price points and development patterns.
There is no universally “best” neighborhood. There is only the one that best fits your life.
On this blog, I’ll be sharing practical guidance on:
Charleston and Summerville new construction
Relocating to Charleston, South Carolina
Builder incentives and financing
Nexton, Summers Corner and Carnes Crossroads
New construction upgrades and timelines
Community comparisons and local market insights
My goal is to help you make a confident real estate decision without unnecessary pressure or sales theatrics.
Because sometimes the smartest move is writing the offer.
And sometimes it’s walking away from the very pretty model home.
Both count.
